  That kick in the guts feeling you got in 1995 in your mid 20s while sitting thru the watchtower study when they changed the generation teaching, yeah that one, you should have listened to that feeling real close and got off your arse and done proper research like you intended to do,not that superficial effort you made and then quickly decided it was too much effort and sucked up your doubts again.

  Oh and dont get baptised age 16 thinking you know it's the "truth" when you haven't made any real effort outside of the cult propaganda to make that decision with all of its heavy ongoing consequences.

  we opened this inquiry in 2014. watch tower then initiated what turned out to be protracted litigation against us.

  The said brainwashing convention hasnt been here yet and i have a few weeks to see if i can preempt it a bit. I'm going to ask my brothers and their wives if the assembly asks them to shun me as a fader will they? Then tell them that is exactly what it is going to do.

  They abolished the death penalty apparently (a requisite of any possible eu membership) but looks like they will bring in some hasty legislation to bring it back in so they can execute those deemed worthy of it.

  Him arresting 2700 judges says more about where this is going. Islamic Totalitarian State.

  i have been disfellowshipped going on 30 years now.

  within those thirty years i have built myself a life and slowly learned to cope with the shunning from family and friends.

  I'm starting to come to the view that pre emptive shunning of them is the right course of action. If the threat of shunning or conditional friendship is invoked by them then just lay the cards down on the table and tell them what happens next if that is the way they want to proceed, rather than be the victim of shunning, own it and use it to your own empowerment and self preservation.

  No second chances unless it is heartfelt and honest. Any "terms or conditions" imposed results in them staying in the "no fucks given" column.

  I've just seen that video earlier today as it happens. Well i saw a gif of the apparently casual murder 1st then the fuller video with description.

  It does at 1st appear to be a deliberate act of callous murder, but on closer inspection and the details given it does seem to be an accidental discharge on draw of weapon and then him trying to work out i f he can cover up his blunder.

  Helped with fathers funeral, helped with arranging care for my mother - then SHUNNED again!!

  well i have not been on this site for ages - so long that i had forgotten my username etc and have had to start again!.

  anyway briefly - bought up in 'the truth', baptised at 18, married at 21, had kids, got divorced, remarried, disfellowshipped 15 years ago.. parents and brother shun me.. early last year father very ill, calls me.

  i arrange to visit him in hospital.
